Apply and/or Register
Every study abroad program requires an application AND registration (faculty-led excluded). Registration means you will have a My Study Abroad account with access to the mandatory VT forms.
Without registration the Registrar will not accept your transcript from abroad. You also jeopardize the release of your financial aid.
VT applications open up usually a semester before the study abroad term. If it mentions “this program is not currently accepting applications”, then the program has not opened up yet. You can check with the person listed under contact information to see if a program will actually be running.

*You can only apply to one Virginia Tech faculty-led program. You can, however, have multiple applications for different program types (for example apply to a Virginia Tech exchange and/or ISEP simultaneously; however be aware of (nonrefundable) application fees that may apply.
