Laura Luo

Laura has dedicated her career to supporting students in a variety of educational settings. Before joining Virginia Tech, Laura taught both second grade and high school students, gaining valuable experience working with learners at different stages of their educational journeys. She has also served as a student organization advisor in both China and the United States, helping students build community, develop leadership skills, and engage in meaningful campus experiences. In addition, Laura worked as an admissions coordinator, where she guided prospective students through the admissions process.

Laura studied abroad as an exchange student in Taiwan and participated in a summer program in Israel during both her undergraduate and graduate studies. She has also solo traveled to several countries, experiences that have deepened her appreciation for different cultures and the life-changing impact of international education.

Outside of work, Laura enjoys hiking, reading, writing, and, every now and then, doing absolutely nothing at all.
